Parking for Pemaquid Point Light:
Facts: The Pemaquid Point Light is 38 feet high and was first built in 1827. The current tower was first lit in 1835. It was chosen by Maine's residents to be on the Maine State Quarter.
My two cents: Pemaquid Point is one of my favorite places in Maine. In summer you can sit on the rocks and enjoy the view and watch the waves. You can also climb up the stairs in the lighthouse tower to have a better view. Pemaquid is the perfect place for a nice daytrip. I recommend the "Sea Gull Shop by the Lighthouse" (right next to the light house) where you can get nice souveniers and a very good lunch while enjoying an unique view! :-) Afterwards you can go to Pemaquid Beach, which is only about 3.5 miles North from the lighthouse.
